Assembly worker
Does technology, hydraulics, and precision assembly get your heart racing? Do you enjoy working with precision mechanical components and are you looking to deepen your expertise? Then this is your chance to specialize in the assembly of central oil passages (CODs) as part of the Zijtveld production team.
Your role
In our state-of-the-art workshop, we manufacture high-quality grapples and attachments every day for applications in demolition, forestry, and infrastructure. Central oil lines play a crucial role in the reliable hydraulic control of rotating attachments.
You will be responsible for the precise assembly, installation, and testing of CODs for heavy-duty applications. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, technical expertise, and a strong interest in hydraulics. You will have every opportunity to develop into a subject matter expert in this field.
Your duties will include:
• Assembling and installing central oil feed lines.
• Assembly of precision mechanical components, seals, and bearings.
• Hydraulic installation and testing of CODs for functionality and leak tightness.
• Performing overhaul and repair work on existing CODs.
• Checking for dimensions, fit, and rotational properties.
• Contributing ideas for improvements in design and production processes.
You’ll be working on products that make a real difference: hydraulic systems that are essential to the reliability of our grapples and attachments. This requires precision, technical expertise, and an eye for quality.
What do we expect from you?
We are looking for a skilled professional who wants to develop their expertise in COD assembly.
• A VMBO or MBO diploma, or equivalent work and cognitive skills in the field of metalworking or a related field.
• An interest in hydraulics and precision mechanical assembly. Experience is a plus.
• Technical insight and skill in reading drawings.
• A meticulous and proactive work ethic.
• An eye for quality – you take pride in what you make.
• Proficiency in Dutch and/or English.
But if you don't have all of these qualities, a healthy mindset and a general technical background are sufficient to learn this profession. If you have the basics, we will be happy to train you further.
