From April 7 to 13, Munich was the scene of the world's largest construction trade fair - and we were there.
And how proud we look back on our participation. Not only because our booth was well attended, but especially because of the valuable conversations we had. With machine operators. With dealers. With curious colleagues from all over the world.

Because for us, BAUMA is more than a fair. It is a mirror, a sounding board, a meeting place. A place where we confirmed what professionals really need, and where we show what simplicity means in practice.

One of the most talked about innovations at our booth was the automatic lubrication system. A small, smart addition that prevents major maintenance. Without electronics. Without complicated software. Just: grease in the right place, at the right time.

When opening and closing the grab , this system ensures that after every three cycles, a different pivot point receives just the right amount of grease. Result?

Visitors were surprised. Not because the system looks flashy or futuristic, but precisely because it is so logical. Simplicity that works, that's what we're all about.

What many did not know: every grab from Zijtveld is completely designed and produced in the Netherlands. We keep everything in our own factory, from design to quality control. This way we can guarantee that every detail is correct.

At BAUMA, visitors could feel for themselves what that means. The robustness. The balance. The workmanship. "No fuss, just solid," said one machinist. And that makes us happy. For us, craftsmanship lies in the choices you don't make. No unnecessary parts, no vulnerable electronics, only what works.

Sustainability is more than a buzzword. At Zijtveld, it starts with steel and ends with service. A grab that lasts longer needs to be replaced less often. That saves waste and money. And it means that our customers can always keep going. We received a lot of appreciation for this at BAUMA. Rightly so, because we don't just build machines, we build trust.

Sometimes you don't have to say it yourself. Then we prefer to listen. To machine operators who are on demolition or construction sites every day. To dealers who know what turns customers off. And what turned out during BAUMA? They all said pretty much the same thing:

"Your grabs are exactly what I'm looking for: simple, strong and logical to use."

This is no accident. We build our grabs based on feedback from the field. No R&D on an island, but development from the shop floor. That's where our strength lies.

BAUMA 2025 was for us a confirmation: we are on the right track. But also an encouragement. Because standing still is not an option. The conversations, the sharp questions, the curiosity, they encourage us to design even smarter, build even more sustainably and provide even better service.
